Andersen Silva's Journal

14th January, 2008. 10:47 pm. No black squirrel lately, thanks for asking

Summer Glau, who played the semi-psychotic youth River Tam in the growing-on-me "Firefly" (yes, I got my DVDs back), is back as Cameron the Terminator in "Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles," and my, how she's grown up. She still looks young (well, she still is young), but she doesn't look as fragile as she did in those first few "Firefly" episodes, and she's quite an attractive woman now. Personally, if I were John Connor, I'd spend less time running and more time trying to determine whether all Cameron's I/O ports are plug-and-play. So to speak. Ahem. I think this series holds some promise. We'll see how it goes...

L.C. was definitely happy that I sat on the couch to watch the show last night and tonight. Even when I am home for more than a few hours these days, it seems I've got work issues to deal with, or my own things to do on the computer(s), so it was nice to relax a bit and keep the cat company. He's still adjusting to the idea that his word (well, plaintive mew) isn't law around here, merely a strong suggestion.

Just an hour or so after sending elizabeth! my regrets about not being able to go see her in a spur-of-the-moment set at Rockwood this evening, I got home to find that my autographed copy of her CD had arrived in the mail. Good stuff...! I don't listen to enough jazz, really, though I did just buy some Allan Holdsworth on the iTunes Music Store. Man, that guy can play guitar... elizabeth! is very talented herself, and I definitely do want to take in another show.

Current mood: geeky.
Current music: "Time After Time" by Elizabeth!.
