3rd April, 2007. 8:11 am. Bleh.

Ah, nothing like waking up feeling nauseous... Hopefully, this feeling will dissipate as the day goes on, because I can't imagine that a day at work will be helpful.

I managed to get FreeBSD running on the PowerBook (through iEmulator, which has picked up where Virtual PC left off), and even got X Window running at 1024x768. I'm having issues getting Metacity and GNOME to behave now, though, so I'll keep plugging away at that. Now that I've got some command-line experience and have successfully installed Linux a few times as well as FreeBSD, I may take another stab at getting one of the BSDs to run on my old Quadra.

I figured out some more of "D.V." on Saturday, though I need to work out the drum track fully before I can really continue recording. Maybe I can finish it by this weekend. I gave Anurita, Layal, and Rinku a MediNotes training session after work yesterday evening, and by the time I got home and had dinner (after having skipped lunch), I just didn't feel like working at music, but maybe tonight...

Sunday evening, I had Yesika, Barbara, her friend Celina, Rhonda, and Mark over for a casual eating party. Yesika had come across a recipe for ribs a few weeks back, and when I teased her about making them for us, she offered to actually do it, as long as we got together at my place. So when would do this but on April Fool's Day? The ribs were delicious, as were the other dishes and desserts people brought. A fun time was had by all, I think, and we ended the night by watching Weird Al videos and other stuff on YouTube.
