Andersen Silva's Journal  Ugh, I'm tired. I dragged myself out of bed around 3:30 AM to assault some data issues that have been plaguing me at work. Pretty sure one of them is resolved now, which is a good thing... I really need to get more rest, though. I don't feel sick, but I kinda feel pre-sick, as if my body's defenses are coming down. I'm planning to see the Damnwells in Brooklyn tonight (Theresa wants to live vicariously through me), but I'm going to have to play it by ear. The extremely warm weather we've been experiencing is finally going to break, and the weathermen say it's going to break hard; between that and my being run down, I'm not sure it's going to be a good idea for me to go out. We'll reassess the situation at 5 PM. The scary thing is, I think I'm starting to get my second wind now... I'm also going to a chorale concert tomorrow night with Barbara. Ah, Christmas is approaching rapidly... I guess I've been too crazed lately for the holiday depression to really hit me yet. Probably a good thing. Sooner or later, though, I'll be alone with thoughts of how I'm alone during the holidays again. I'm not a big fan of eggnog, but I suppose a tin of Christmas cookies and a bottle of Goldschläger will help. Who wants to see my buddy Martin Rivas and his cohort Craig Meyer with me on Friday, December 15, in Hoboken? It's a 10 PM show. I'm looong overdue for a Mart show, and since this one is even easier for me to get to than his usual lower Manhattan venues, I've just gotta go. I need to at least start some recording this weekend, and I should really write a few more of the songs in my head, too. Don't worry, I don't think I'll be writing another sad Christmas song... ;) You should listen to last year's "Christmas Lonely," though. It's catchy, or so I've been told.
